World Changing?
Is the world changing or just possess an illusion of change. I have a strong belief that it is just an illusion, but my rationality does not agree with that. The way the world is connected now is not how it was a few centuries earlier. Our traditions, culture and even morality, and definitions of good and bad are affected.
From point of developing countries, our amenities suddenly grew less comfortable, and the things we thought were enough seems not to be. I mean just switch on your TV. We see it all, how our clothes lack quality and style and restaurants lack ambiance. What we thought was good is not, and it made us unsatisfied and unhappy.
From point of you, residents of good economies, what you thought was poor, (I don't know maybe not having an Xbox, whatever it was) is not anymore now, you see people(as it is a connected world now) dying of hunger, of cold, of droughts, with no homes, no clothes. Your minds and hearts lost its serenity and you had to do something, so you protested. You would spread awareness but still, some would remain indifferent to your cause, maybe your own family, because may be they had missed that day's special news report. But your conscience will bring you distress.
See I realized personally that one is not really connected with the world. If there is some calamity 1000 kilometers away, you see it on the news or hear about it somewhere. You are no doubt sad about it. You will definitely do something about it. But you will also then quickly forget. Yes some will not, but that is not their natural feeling, there is a conscious effort present. They do it, because the world has taught them to do it. Or they believe that this is how the world should run, by helping each other, so they remind themselves everyday of things to donate, people to help. They have a checklist.
What I want to say is that please don't believe that you are doing it naturally. That is not your nature. You were not born as a good person. It is not an innate quality. There is a presence of conscious effort, sometimes you have to strive for the good.
If you understand this, then your view towards the evil, the criminals, the selfish might ameliorate a little. Because you know now, they somehow missed the goodness which was inculcated in you by your parents, your teachers, the part of society you lived in. The hatred for them might decrease.
I think I went awry and forgot what I wanted to say, and started to ramble, I apologize.

Well, good and bad are relative, earlier it was just relative to your neighbors or adjunct kingdoms. Now it is with the whole world, and that messes up things. But on other hand, now at least those who don't have a freedom of speech know they don't have it. Women now realize they are not being treated equally, instead of, that they are not equal.
We are the same species with different environment and history. Our conscience makes us so full of variety.

I mean gladiators, all for entertainment, how barbaric? I mean somethings are universally accepted, right?
Killing something who has a soul, or maybe if one is not comfortable with that term-soul, shall I say nerve endings. And to think some people hunted for sport. Its good it is banned everywhere now. Should have been fun though. And who can deny chicken-tikka isn't tasty? Lets not think too much, who gives a fuck anyway, I don't. But dogs and cats and all pet animals, they should be treated differently, they have double the amount of nerve endings than that of entire animal kingdom combined. And they are cute.
